This study, conducted jointly by UNICARIBE e-learning and CAYEI, was presented at the 2024 Latin American and Caribbean Research Congress (COLACI). The research analyzes recent developments and trends regarding the impact of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) at the University of the Caribbean (UNICARIBE). The main objective was to analyze the role that universities and MOOC platforms can play when coexisting within the same system, with the aim of ensuring continuous and rapid updates to educational content to adapt to the changing landscape of today’s education. To this end, data from the UNICARIBE–Coursera partnership, established in 2022, was analyzed.
