The objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of thin films of titanium dioxide (TiO₂) modified with zinc oxide (ZnO) in inhibiting the fungus Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. dianthi, which severely affects carnation crops and causes significant economic losses. Using photocatalysis under UV irradiation, the study determined the antimicrobial properties of these semiconductor materials, with the aim of offering an innovative solution for controlling this agricultural pathogen.
